Description
Description
Viscous materials such as syrup, sugar, fats, waxes and resins can become difficult to discharge from a 1000 litre IBC when stored at room temperature. As materials thicken, they can be harder to pour or pump, potentially resulting in product waste and increased handling costs.
This IBC heating jacket provides an efficient solution by gently heating the contents of the container, helping to reduce viscosity and making liquids and semi-solid materials easier to discharge with minimal waste.
Designed specifically for standard 1000L IBC containers, this single heat band model features a digital thermostat adjustable from 0–40°C, allowing the heating temperature to be set according to the requirements of the material. The heater is also suitable for maintaining the required temperature and viscosity during storage or transportation.
The IBC heater features a durable, lightweight construction with adjustable quick-release buckles, making it quick and easy to fit and remove from the container. Its flexible design makes it suitable for a wide range of industrial applications and materials.
Efficient IBC Heating
Heating an IBC before discharge can make a significant difference when handling materials that become thick or difficult to move at lower temperatures. The heater can be used with a wide variety of liquids and viscous materials, including:
- Water
- Oils and diesel fuel
- Resin
- Vaseline
- Wax, including lanolin
- Fats
- Butters, including ghee
- Glue and adhesives
- Syrups and other viscous liquids
For faster and more efficient heating, we recommend using an IBC insulated lid (sold separately). The lid fits over the top of the container to help retain heat and reduce heat loss during the heating process.
IBC heating jackets are also an ideal alternative or supplement to container heating cabinets and ovens. Because the jacket remains fitted directly to the IBC, heated containers can be moved or transported more easily while helping to minimise heat loss.
IP40 or Optional IP54 Protection
The IBC container heater is supplied as standard with IP40 protection. For environments where exposure to moisture or water spray is a concern, such as food and pharmaceutical production areas subject to regular wash-down, an IP54-protected version is also available. Please contact us for further details.
